Portfolio Day Reflection

11/1/10

Location: PA Convention Center

I found this experience at the National Portfolio Day to be very beneficial to me as an artist. I was able to visit the representatives at the schools I was looking into applying for and also some school I had never even knew existed but gave wonderful reviews. I enjoyed getting to meet those colleges I visited and got a lot of really helpful feedback. I got my portfolio accepted by two of my top schools DCAD and Moore I had been looking into. They both had similar compliments on my work and seemed very impressed with what I brought to the table.

Even the conversations and listening to other people discuss their artwork to the representatives fascinated me because it was just a mass of artists that are so passionate and expressive with what they do and the fact that this day brought all of that there was pretty amazing. I was very happy with the feedback I was given by DCAD and Moore. They thought I was very expressive and so original that it almost excited them in a way.
